Because I was chucking a snit, I didnt have time to review my September goals or make new ones for October so here goes;
My excuses first;
I think I was too optimistic especially with my personal stitching goals and there are a couple of reasons... Firstly its school holidays here, and for four of the seven days of the two weeks, I have had five children under foot which was fun but tiring - school starts back on Monday so I have no excuse from then.
Secondly: I didnt take into account my finishing experience - which was nil. I have only ever had pieces framed before and hadnt even attempted so much as a scissor fob or flat fold or anything for that matter... so I didnt make allowances for stuff ups, jitters and nerves when it came to finishing my pieces. Needless to say my goals for the month of September especially on the stitching front, werent accomplished much at all.
Thirdly: I am just a slow stitcher!
Stitching Goals
Personal Stitching
~ Watergarden - to finish all thistles and reeds and to at least get three of the four silk blocks stitched. I have three of the thistles stitched and one of the four silk blocks finished with the second one started. Im not even going to post a wip pic until I have completed this.
~ To make a pin keep. I did do some mock up pin keeps when experimenting for my needlework exchange, but nothing used with a stitched piece.
~ To make a flat fold. Again same as the above.. I put one together when doing a mock up but nothing with a stitched piece - though I must say I really like this finish!
Exchange Stitching:
~ Needlework Smalls Stitched, Finished and posting tomorrow!
~ Scissor Fob Still stitching, but I have very little to complete and I will be finishing it on Monday :)
Personal Goals
~To lose 3 kilos - I have lost 2.
~To go to the gym at least three times a week - it hasnt happened Ive only managed to go three times in the last two weeks!
~ To review our budget - done and implemented.
~To file paperwork. - started but not finished.
You know I am two weeks into October so I am not going to make any new goals, because I think I will be setting myself up for failure if I do so. What I am going to do however, its keep plugging on, and trying to complete the goals I set myself in September and hopefully in the next two weeks I will have them accomplished.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
